Parents Challenge Day 6:

Parents Challenge Day 6: Today I want you to pray for your child's strength. Pray that they will stay health both physically and spiritually.

1 Peter 4:11
If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

Parents Challenge Day 5

Parents Challenge Day 5: Today I want you to pray for your child's mind. Pray that their mind will stay postive and pure. There are so many things that go into their eyes and ears that make it to their minds, pray it will be the right things. Pray that their mind will stay focused on Christ.

Parents Challenge Day 4:

Parents Challenge Day 4: Today I want you to pray for your child's heart, because what is in his or her heart will determine the type of person they will become. Pray that God will keep their heart tender and always willing to be teachable. No matter what their age they need to be teachable because they will always have something to learn.

Parents Challenge Day 3

Parents Challenge Day 3: Today I want you to pray for your child's ears. Pray that they will be protect for the things that are said around them. They are surrounded by so many sounds around them from music to tv show and everything in between. Pray the they will be able to block out the unwholesome things and embrace the Godly things.

Day 1

Parents Challenge Day 1: Today I want you to pray for your child's salvation. If they are not saved pray for them to understand and believe in the gift God gave us all. If they are saved pray for them to have the courage to share it with others.

Parents Challenge Day 2: Today I want you to pray for your child's eyes. We live in an sinful world with many sinful images. Pray that God will shield your child's eyes. Instead pray for you child's eyes to see as Christ saw, loving their God and loving their neighbor. Pray that they will see things that God wants them to do all around them

Thanksgiving:

Titus 1:6
An elder must be blameless, the husband of but one wife, a man whose children believe and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient.

I have had many pastors and their wives to be thankful for over the years. They have taught me so very much. 2 Uncles and their wonderful wives, taught me many aspects of hospitality and prayer.

At Calvary Baptist I learned and fall in love with the word of God. This is also where I first felt the leading of God to go into the ministry.

At Tri-City Baptist Church we grew as a family and moved forward with lots of love and support onto our calling of ministry.

At SunCoast Baptist we learned how to grow up and rely on God. We also learned how important it is to have people around you that understand were you are at in life. We learned how to became better leader in the church through communication and giving others the sense of belonging.

I am so very thankful for all the lesson that have been learned in the first 40 year of my life in all the different ways God has allowed them. I would not change anyone of them along the way. God has given all of them a special place in my life.

I am so thankful for my church! They are supportive and so very helpful. They love to be together and we fellowship in and also outside of church. I have been with many of them 5 times this week. We are more like family than just a church. They love my whole family unconditionally. I know that when I bring a request for prayer here on facebook they will fervently pray for that request. I love Grace Bible Church.

I am so thankful for my wonderful husband! He is a Godly example to myself and my children. We have been married 20 years and I am thankful for every year with him. He is the Godly leader that I have always dreamed of. And he has maded my dreams come true.

I am thankful for Godly parents that I can honor! They have always guided and helped me when I have needed it.

I am so thankful for the love of God! Even when I don't understand why he is doing what he is doing I know he is GOOD and his love is pure. He always has a plan he always has a purpose, he always has love!

I am thankful for the grace of God. He sent He Son to died on the cross for me! I am a sinner but through my simple faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ I have eternal life! And that is something I can really be thankful for!!!

I am thankful that nothing that happened yesterday is surprising to my GOD! He know every person that was elected and every amendment passed. He sees the bigger picture that I cannot. I am thankful that I can leave my worries with God and know that he has it all covered. I am thankful that I can bring anything to God's presence in prayer.

I am very thankful for music! It makes my heart leap and my soul happy!

What are your idols? What things are you trusting in?

Are you trusting in the Lord? Are you giving your fears to the Lord? Is the Lord your strength and your song? Let him become your salvation.

Do you trust enough in the Lord to wait on him and his timing? Or do you take actions you should not or worry when you should not?

What are you teaching those around you? Are you teaching them (your children, friends, co-workers and others watching you) to trust in the Lord your God?

I love these verses, they are one of my favorites. Do you tust the Lord with all you hear or do you pick and choose which part God gets? Do you lean on you own understanding? Do you acknowledge God in every part of you life?

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.

What a great way to start the day...but with God's unfailing love!! When we put our trust in HIM he will show us the way in amazing ways.

Know you spouse

Know your spouse

It is so very important to really know your spouse. There are small things that can make your spouse' day and tell them you love them without words. For my husband it is cleaning. Really it can be cleaning anything but a clean kitchen makes him so very happy. My husband can show me love by putting gas in my car. I challenge you to get to know your spouse and figure out those special small things that can make them feel your love without your words and then .... do it!

Trust in the Lord! He knows all, he will help and protect us.

What are you trusting in? In our economy these day we have learned to not trust in money,but what happens when it gets better? Do not set your heart on riches, but on God who owns it all.

Have you poured out you heart to God? God wants to hear you deeps pains and hurts. He will never tire of hearing from you.

New Years

2011 was a crazy year!

My husband and family went on another journey with God. We found out in January that the church where my husband was a part time youth pastor would no longer be able to pay us after June. In May, my husband graduated from college. Then the quest for a full time job started. Amazingly enough we only interviewed at 2 churches and after a long process we start at the new church on August 8. My husband is now a full time youth and children's pastor.

Usually I pick one theme verse each year. But last year I fell back on one from 2007.

Proverbs 3:5-6
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Looking back on this year it feels as if I really have not move very far spiritual or physically. I just did what we need to get through. I was the rock of the family and put more into the family then to myself. We made it through and we are good, but I want to do better this next year. There are 2 commitments I am making for myself and this blog.

1. Post 26 things that pertain to the "temple"
2. Post and memories 52 new verse. The new church uses NIV, I know all verses in KJV.
